In all the time I have been a ham, I have yet to attend a hamfest. Dayton is my ultimate goal but the way fuel prices are, I dont see it happening any time soon. And no I dont fly either. I feel much better driving myself and having my feet planted firmly on the ground. Humans were not meant to fly, if that was the case we'd all have wings and no fear of flying or heights. Thats just MHO.

Well I see what your saying about flying however we should stay out of cars to.
Cuz we were not meant to go 60+mph either, if we were we would be able to run that fast lol.
As for not attending the hamfest your missing out its a blast.

Well i picked up an immaculate TS-850s AT today for 550$.
Man Ill tell you this things is amazing condition, I think the former owner never used it.
Its got a 2.7 SSB filter and a CW filter.
Did I mention its the cleanest radio I have ever seen.
Also It has great audio, I could not be happier, well so far.
Ill not jup the gun, after a week or so talk time I might post a rating for this radio.
I do have high hopes though, I dont think I will be disappointed.
And by the way this was a great hamfest, man I glad its that time of the year.

the falls was okay.  sad to see it shrinking to almost nothing, though.  the 850 was an amazing find, im am just learning but even i knew it was a deal.  glad to see your "j-shield" (LOL) went down long enough to get your excellent buy. i almost thought my cramped ride would be uneventful, next time you ride in the back.  now its my turn....KEN, you need a radio or to remind your fingers on how to dial the phone!  the radio would be cool.

next stop, Butler.
