What would you do....

What would you do if you were immortal? What do you think would be the drawbacks?

If I were immortal I would spend my life in school gaining as much knowledge as possible. I would invest that knowledge to better the lives of others. To better medical science. There would be many painful drawbacks in my opinion. I would have to watch the world decay and watch the one I love parish right before my very eyes. I would suck to make friends knowing that they will eventually die and that you will live on. You would not truly live on since you would be be emotionally numb or you would become insane.

It would be a completely different story if you could grant immortality to others!

This thought is inspired from my lust of vampire novels.
