Looks rather blocky but alas if and when I do get another HT its gonna be an Icom. Im kinda done with Yaesu products for the time being.  Granted I own a VX7R, Im not really impressed with it. The battery life is null and void. LithIon is not supossed to develop a memory, one of the reasons I purchased it to begin with. Neither of my batteries hold a charge for more then 30 min of listening only. Maybe this new VX8R will be better.

I know what you mean. The 92AD is a woping 600 and the speaker mic is 400. Now if that HT covered the HF bands in all modes I can see paying that much, but for a basic FM HT I dont think so. Add USB LSB CW and all bands and then Ill buy it. Otherwise Icom is blowing smoke up everyones a$$ if they think folks are gonna buy an HT that costs as much as a basic HF rig!
